Characteristics and types of Social Capital of Social Workers in Community Welfare Centers

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to categorize social capital of social workers in Community Welfare Center to contribute to improve community welfare by encouraging social workers to cooperate and solidify to solve the problem in the community and cope collectively to the change the community. The result of K-means Cluster analysis are as; each type was called ’nominal network type’(structure＋, cognition－; 34.8%), ’trustable network type’(structure ＋, cognition＋; 20%), ’only thinking type’(structure－, cognition＋; 19.2%) and ’just alone type’(structure－, cognition－; 26%). The results of this study imply the importance of cognitive aspects of social capital, the support of network activity by community welfare center and school educational course which effect that social workers consider trust and reciprocity by looking the community long and macro perspective. And also social workers will approach affirmati vely the social problems as a member of community.
